Lecturer: Dr. Chulanee Thianthai (Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand).

The Collaborative Colloquium series and the Institute for Social and Cultural Anthropology are proud to host this lecture derived from Dr. Chulanee's research interest and publications, starting from the year 2004 until the present, concerning gender differences on body image issues among Thai teenagers in Bangkok.  Her talk will highlight how body image among teenagers have changed through the generations, what are today’s ideal body images that Thai teenagers are striving for, gender differences in body image perceptions, factors influencing those changes, and how these have resulted in affecting female and male adolescents’ health differently.
