Report: Research Training in Makassar 2016
The Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology in Freiburg recently published a short report on the ongoing research training in Makassar.
In Summer 2016 ten students of ethnology and political science at the Albert-Ludwigs University Freiburg performed empiric research training in Makassar, South-Sulawesi (Indonesia), together with students of both subjects at the Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta and the Hasanuddin University Makassar. The training was titled " "From Tandem to Teamwork: A Training Model for Fieldresearch Across Cultural and Disciplinary Boundaries".
The topic of the research training was titled: "The Making of Social Categories"
