Agni Malagina, born 1979, studied Chinese Literature and History at Chinese Studies Programm, Universitas Indonesia, Indonesia. From 2004 to 2009 she worked as lecturer at Chinese Studies Programm, Universitas Indonesia. In 2002 the Taiwan Economic Trade Office awarded her a fellowship for an International Youth Programm. In 2007 she co-edited a book on Indonesian Linguistic, “Bahasa Indonesia Dewasa Kini”, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hermina Sutami. Between 2008 and 2009 she co-wrote the trilogy "History of 160 years Universitas Indonesia: From Dokterdjawashool to Universitas Indonesia". In 2009 she jointly conducted research and published an article “Tjan Tjoe Some: 60 years Chinese Studies in Indonesia” together with Prof. Dr. Abdulah Dahana. Her research interests include Chinese literature, Chinese Malay literature, and Chinese diasporas in Indonesia. Currently she is a PhD candidate at University of Freiburg.
