Paritosha Kobbe, born 1980, is a PhD student employed at the DFG graduate school (DFG Graduiertenkolleg) “Friends, Patrons, Clients. Practice and semantics of friendship and patronage in historical, anthropological and cross-cultural perspectives” at Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg, Germany. He studied Cultural and Social Anthropology, History and Biology at the University of Freiburg. In 2010 he finished his Magister Artium in Anthropology with a thesis on Individualism and Collectivism in the lifeworld of students in Indonesia. He worked two years as Scientific Trainee at the anthropological museum in Wuppertal. His regional focus in Southeast Asia is particularly Indonesia.
